The Formation
(History of the Directorate of Audit & Pension )
The Directorate of Audit & Pension came into existence on 12/6/2000 on being bifurcated from the parent Department of Directorate of Accounts & Treasuries vide notification No. DA/FIN/B/1/76 (Pt) Dated 28th June 1999. The following works are entrusted to the Directorate :-
- Finalization and Issue of Pension Payment Order and Family Pension.
- Finalization & authorization of Group insurance claims.
- Internal Audit.
- Verification of Service Book in respect of all Govt. employees with specific emphasis on regulation of pay from time to time.
